"We are very proud of these sales associates, and happy for their success," said Ruth Seib, Broker/Co-Owner of Coldwell Banker Deep Creek Realty. "Our mission as a company is to support our associates in every way we can, in order to make Coldwell Banker Deep Creek Realty a pleasant and profitable place to work. The increasing success of our sales associates is evidence of our progress toward that goal."

Seib noted that most of the company award winners increased their production level over 2005, all the more remarkable in a year in which Garrett County as a whole saw a decrease in dollar volume in real estate sales, and a decreased number of transactions.

The annual event brought more than 6,000 Coldwell Banker sales associates, brokers, managers and employees together for an intensive professional development program and awards ceremony. Tony Robbins, a recognized authority on the psychology of leadership, negotiations, organizational turnaround and peak performance was the conference's keynote speaker. Platinum selling country music recording artist Wynonna was the featured entertainer.
"Bob and Beverly Everett exemplify the standards of excellence for which Coldwell Banker sales associates are known," says Bright. "It is an honor to have these outstanding professionals in our network."

"Professionals like Bob and Beverly Everett are who have made Coldwell Banker a leader in the real estate industry," says Jim Gillespie, president and chief executive officer of Coldwell Banker Real Estate Corporation. "They have been recognized as the #1 Team for the State of Maryland for their exceptional performance during a year in which the real estate market experienced some adjustments. Bob and Beverly helped their clients read past the headlines and understand that real estate is a strong, sound investment that they can enjoy for many years to come."

"These are changing times in real estate, but owning a home still represents having achieved the American Dream," Gillespie continues. "Frankly, I believe that now is a great time to buy a home. With interest rates still at historically low levels, and rising home inventory in many markets, buyers now have more properties to select from and more opportunities to negotiate on price. It's the perfect time to buy a home."
Coming to the Deep Creek /Oakland area years ago from North Carolina was like a dream come true for Bob and Beverly. In July 2003, Bob Everett joined Coldwell Banker Deep Creek Realty as a Sales Associate, with Beverly joining later that year. Both brought a vast knowledge of sales, marketing and business savvy to their real estate careers and they take particular pride in helping people find their dreams at Deep Creek Lake and Garrett County.

Fred Washburn Named to Coldwell Banker International Diamond Society

MCHENRY,Maryland Fred Washburn, a sales associate with Coldwell Banker Deep Creek Realty, has earned membership in the company's International Diamond Society, a level achieved by only the top nine percent of the more than 127,700 sales associates worldwide in the Coldwell Banker® system.

Washburn was presented with this distinguished honor at the Coldwell Banker International Business Conference, held March 5 8, 2007 at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nev.

"Fred Washburn truly personifies the spirit of the International Diamond Society," says Jim Gillespie, president and chief executive officer of Coldwell Banker Real Estate Corporation. "His integrity, deep knowledge of the Garrett County and nearby West Virginia real estate market, together with his extreme dedication to his clients, bring to life the ideals established by our founders. We are confident that with people like Washburn in the Coldwell Banker system, the brand will continue to flourish for our second 100 years and remain the company of choice for the home buying and selling public."

The National Association of Realtors® (NAR) reported that 2006 the third best year on record for the real estate industry. "While there were fewer existing homes sales in 2006 than in the previous two years, it was still a very strong year overall," Gillespie notes. "It was the third best year in history and the fourth time that more than 6 million existing homes were sold. We also saw slight appreciation nationally. Since NAR began keeping track in 1968, home prices have never once declined; they continue to appreciate. That fact, coupled with the 78 million Baby Boomers still in their prime buying years, and the approximately 1.3 million legal immigrants coming to America each year and needing homes, makes us very bullish that real estate remains a sound, strategic investment."

Washburn has been licensed in Maryland and West Virginia since 2000. In 2005, he was selected as the Garrett County Board of Realtors Realtor of the Year. In 2002 he received the Board's Rookie of the Year Award. Washburn is a 2002 graduate of the Maryland Association of Realtors Leadership Academy, and recently completed a term as President of the Garrett County Board of Realtors.
